We own a seasonal home with no well & municipal water available six months of the year. Access is on a private road with two (2) year round homes past ours on the road, one of which is at the end of the road. For 25 years ours was the only home on the road and we had minimal road upkeep costs.
Questions: 1. Should we pay a portion of snow plowing costs when we cannot use our house during the winter; 2. What portion of road maintenance should we pay when we drive on the road only the six (6) months, and we don't use the road during months when freeze/thraw damage likely occurs.
Thank you, Jeffrey Swain
