Does anyone have any idea whether or not a road association can legally file a mechanics lien on a non-paying member's property? We have filed liens on two properties, however our claims will not be satisfied until the property is sold, and that could be years if not decades. A mechanics lien has more "bite" and can be settled much sooner. We have provided services, i.e. plowing, sanding, grading, etc., without reimbursement for these services.
