Our road association is currently planning our FY-2021 Annual Meeting. The current Treasurer does not intend to serve again in this position and has withdrawn her name for nomination. We have polled members and at this point we do not have any member willing to serve as the Treasurer. We have asked the membership to vote on a motion to utilize a third party contact to perform the services if we do not get a member who is willing to serve. It is becoming increasingly difficult to get members to serve as the Secretary and Treasurer. We are fortunate the member who served as Secretary the past two years has agreed to be nominated again. We have 18 members at this time. Approximately only half the members participate in meetings and vote either in person or through absentee ballot. Basically, the same few members have served on the Board since the establishment of the road association in 2012. Has any other association dealt with the issue of member non-participation or use of a third-party contract to carry out the responsibilities of a Board member position?
